About the item
Description
The P2000 is a precise and controllable opening-round sidearm; its balanced character rewards calm single-shot placement. For the Pulse treatment, it has been painted with a hydrographic of bold fuchsia fragments.
The decorative layer changes the surface character but preserves the familiar silhouette and readable construction. The main accents sit across the body, while working components retain a more restrained and readable appearance.
History
The Pulse design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants. A familiar model still sits underneath, but the surface now reads as a distinct piece of artwork.
The release gave the work of Thurnip an official place in the item catalog. On the P2000, every Pulse condition and special edition refers back to the same original design.
Rarity
The P2000 | Pulse design received a Mil-Spec Grade classification. This status belongs to the artwork as a whole and does not depend on the wear of one example.
On the P2000, this tier distinguishes the work from artwork assigned to other levels. Special editions do not receive a new rarity; their labels describe the version rather than its place in the hierarchy.
Characteristics
The Pulse treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.
On the P2000, the Pulse treatment uses the Custom Paint Job method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. Cleaner variants reveal more small detail, whereas worn examples present the same work with a rougher surface.
Recognition
P2000 | Pulse is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.
A clear visual rhythm keeps Pulse from disappearing beside other finishes made for the P2000. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.
Availability
The edition range for P2000 | Pulse consists of standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The P2000 wear range includes Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with each condition showing different surface preservation.
No dedicated container is listed for Pulse. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. Matching wear alone does not make two items the same version: edition comes first, followed by surface condition.
Origin
Designers: Thurnip. The work appeared in the Steam Workshop as “Pulse P2000”.
Versions
Within the P2000 | Pulse family, the available editions are standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir.
Matching wear does not merge different editions into one variant, since the item type remains a separate trait. The original idea behind P2000 | Pulse carries across its variants, with edition and condition defining their practical differences.
