SSG 08 | Abyss (Battle-Scarred)

The SSG 08 offers economical long-range precision early in a match; modest damage is balanced by mobility and excellent value. For the Abyss treatment, it has been painted with a hydrographic in an oceanic pattern.

The composition is built around the main body components and remains coherent when the weapon is viewed from different sides. During inspection, the treatment reads clearly across the larger components without obscuring controls or body boundaries.

The Abyss design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.

The finish entered the item catalog as a separate design with its own range of variants. The SSG 08 variants of Abyss differ in preservation, yet all belong to the same original work.

Within its original release, SSG 08 | Abyss occupies the Mil-Spec Grade tier. Rarity applies to the whole family: individual examples may look different, but their assigned level remains fixed.

The tier allows the work to be compared with other SSG 08 finishes at the same level. The added properties of an edition do not change the tier assigned to the underlying artwork.

The Abyss treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.

On the SSG 08, the Abyss treatment uses the Patina method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. Wear changes the preservation of individual areas, yet the underlying composition and its main idea remain recognizable.

SSG 08 | Abyss is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.

The expression of Abyss on the SSG 08 belongs to the whole composition, whose elements reinforce one another. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.

By version type, SSG 08 | Abyss appears as standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. Surface condition on the SSG 08 is represented by Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, shaping each individual example.

No dedicated container is listed for Abyss. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The availability of one variant depends on its edition and condition together, not merely on the family name.

This SSG 08 | Abyss skin comes in standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The regular version is issued without a kill counter; StatTrak™ adds a kill counter to the item; Souvenir preserves the traits of a tournament item.

A variant should be checked by edition before condition because the two traits never replace one another. One design unites the SSG 08 | Abyss variants, but every pairing of edition and condition keeps its own place in the catalog.
