About the item

Description

The XM1014 brings fully automatic force to close-range rooms; its rapid wall of pellets gives the shotgun a fierce close-range character. It has been custom painted with Egyptian hieroglyphs and ornaments.

The design uses the shape of the body without hiding the familiar transitions between the weapon components. Changing the viewing angle reveals smaller details gradually and prevents the surface from feeling uniform.

History

The Hieroglyph design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.

The listed creator is Doshik, whose original treatment remains behind every variant. The XM1014 variants of Hieroglyph differ in preservation, yet all belong to the same original work.

Rarity

Within its original release, XM1014 | Hieroglyph occupies the Consumer Grade tier. Rarity applies to the whole family: individual examples may look different, but their assigned level remains fixed.

The tier allows the work to be compared with other XM1014 finishes at the same level. A special edition does not move the skin into another class because edition and rarity describe different traits.

Characteristics

The Hieroglyph treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.

On the XM1014, the Hieroglyph treatment uses the Custom Paint Job method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. The degree of wear changes how the design reads without replacing its motif or application method.

Recognition

XM1014 | Hieroglyph is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.

A clear visual rhythm keeps Hieroglyph from disappearing beside other finishes made for the XM1014. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.

Availability

In the catalog, XM1014 | Hieroglyph appears in standard edition and Souvenir. By wear, the XM1014 covers Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, so preservation depends on the selected variant.

No dedicated container is listed for Hieroglyph. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The availability of one variant depends on its edition and condition together, not merely on the family name.

Origin

Designers: Doshik. The work appeared in the Steam Workshop as “XM1014 | Hieroglyph”.

Versions

By edition, the XM1014 | Hieroglyph family consists of standard edition and Souvenir. The standard edition has no kill counter; the Souvenir edition is distinguished by its tournament-release origin.

A variant should be checked by edition before condition because the two traits never replace one another. The variants inherit one XM1014 | Hieroglyph design without losing the differences created by edition and the condition of each item.
