About the item

Description

The MAC-10 delivers a fierce firing rate from a compact frame; its speed suits close movement better than careful long-range accuracy. For the Tatter treatment, it has been custom painted with a high-tech design reminiscent of flames.

The surface avoids a flat appearance, leaving component boundaries and changes in material visible beneath the treatment. Close inspection reveals transitions between materials and separate parts, giving the treatment additional depth.

History

The Tatter design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.

The work was created by irecon, and the in-game release retained that credit. Across the MAC-10 family, Tatter keeps one artistic foundation while condition changes only the individual surface.

Rarity

The assigned rarity of MAC-10 | Tatter is Restricted. It marks the design’s place among items from the same release and does not change with surface wear.

In the MAC-10 item hierarchy, the finish retains its assigned classification. When variants are compared, rarity should be kept separate from edition and wear because each describes a different part of the item.

Characteristics

The Tatter treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.

On the MAC-10, the Tatter treatment uses the Custom Paint Job method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. Wear changes the preservation of individual areas, yet the underlying composition and its main idea remain recognizable.

Recognition

MAC-10 | Tatter is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.

The expression of Tatter on the MAC-10 belongs to the whole composition, whose elements reinforce one another. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.

Availability

The MAC-10 | Tatter family includes standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The MAC-10 exterior range includes Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred; these conditions do not alter edition type.

No dedicated container is listed for Tatter. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The availability of one variant depends on its edition and condition together, not merely on the family name.

Origin

Designers: irecon. The work appeared in the Steam Workshop as “MAC-10 | Tatter”.

Versions

Edition divides MAC-10 | Tatter into standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The standard item comes without an added counter; the StatTrak™ edition tracks its owner's kills; the Souvenir edition is distinguished by its tournament-release origin.

Versions are separated first by edition and then by wear, so two visually close examples can still belong to different variants.
