About the item
Description
The SG 553 is a premium scoped rifle built for distant engagements; its reach offers a precise alternative to the AK-47. For the Colony IV treatment, a custom painted design uses the body as its canvas, placing major details where they remain clear at ordinary viewing angles.
The composition is built around the main body components and remains coherent when the weapon is viewed from different sides.
History
The Colony IV design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.
The skin began its path inside the game, where it was treated as a distinct finish for this model from the outset. On the SG 553, every Colony IV condition and special edition refers back to the same original design.
Rarity
The assigned rarity of SG 553 | Colony IV is Classified. It marks the design’s place among items from the same release and does not change with surface wear.
The tier allows the work to be compared with other SG 553 finishes at the same level. Special editions do not receive a new rarity; their labels describe the version rather than its place in the hierarchy.
Characteristics
The Colony IV treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.
On the SG 553, the Colony IV treatment uses the Custom Paint Job method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. Wear changes the preservation of individual areas, yet the underlying composition and its main idea remain recognizable.
Recognition
SG 553 | Colony IV is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.
The expression of Colony IV on the SG 553 belongs to the whole composition, whose elements reinforce one another. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.
Availability
The SG 553 | Colony IV family includes standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The SG 553 exterior range includes Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred; these conditions do not alter edition type.
No dedicated container is listed for Colony IV. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The availability of one variant depends on its edition and condition together, not merely on the family name.
Origin
It belongs to these collections: The Shattered Web Collection.
Versions
This SG 553 | Colony IV skin comes in standard edition, StatTrak™ and Souvenir. The regular version is issued without a kill counter; the StatTrak™ edition adds a confirmed-kill counter; the souvenir version belongs to its corresponding tournament event.
Versions are separated first by edition and then by wear, so two visually close examples can still belong to different variants.
