About the item
Description
The MP9 is a light ergonomic submachine gun made for rapid movement; its fast firing rhythm gives close fights an energetic pace. For the Old Roots treatment, it has been spray-painted with a vine and flower pattern in various shades of green.
The composition is built around the main body components and remains coherent when the weapon is viewed from different sides. During inspection, the treatment reads clearly across the larger components without obscuring controls or body boundaries.
History
The Old Roots design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.
The moment of release matters most to its history because that is when the artwork gained official in-game status. Across the MP9 family, Old Roots keeps one artistic foundation while condition changes only the individual surface.
Rarity
Within the game's classification, MP9 | Old Roots carries Industrial Grade rarity. The tier belongs to the artwork itself, so a cleaner or more worn example keeps the same classification.
For the MP9, the label describes the skin’s position within the wider catalog. The tier unites the family, while edition type describes the properties of an individual variant.
Characteristics
The Old Roots treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.
On the MP9, the Old Roots treatment uses the Spray-Paint method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. Condition affects the clarity of edges and smaller details, but it leaves the central visual idea intact.
Recognition
MP9 | Old Roots is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.
A clear visual rhythm keeps Old Roots from disappearing beside other finishes made for the MP9. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.
Availability
The MP9 | Old Roots family includes standard edition and Souvenir. The MP9 wear range includes Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, with each condition showing different surface preservation.
No dedicated container is listed for Old Roots. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The availability of one variant depends on its edition and condition together, not merely on the family name.
Origin
It belongs to these collections: The 2021 Dust 2 Collection.
Versions
The regular edition retains the item’s base properties; the souvenir version belongs to its corresponding tournament event.
Edition and condition form two distinct layers of comparison; matching one does not make the items identical. Each variant is built on the MP9 | Old Roots artwork; edition and surface preservation remain qualities of the individual item.
