The MP9 is a light ergonomic submachine gun made for rapid movement; its fast firing rhythm gives close fights an energetic pace. For the Broken Record treatment, it has been custom painted to resemble a vinyl record, grooves and all.

The artwork is distributed across the body so that broad panels and smaller mechanical details read as parts of one treatment. The main accents sit across the body, while working components retain a more restrained and readable appearance.

The Broken Record design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.
