About the item

Description

The FAMAS is the practical rifle chosen when funds are tight; it bridges the gap between premium rifles and lighter submachine guns. For the Styx treatment, it has been chromed then overlayed with a semi transparent hydrographic pattern of nuclear skulls and bones.

The surface avoids a flat appearance, leaving component boundaries and changes in material visible beneath the treatment. The body material remains visible beneath the decorative layer.

History

The Styx design joined the Counter-Strike catalog as a distinct work with its own family of variants.

Its first release remains the starting point from which the rest of the skin family developed. Every Styx condition on the FAMAS continues one design rather than forming a separate release.

Rarity

In the item catalog, FAMAS | Styx is classified as Restricted. The classification is shared by every variant even when their surfaces show different preservation.

Rarity belongs to the family as a whole rather than one FAMAS example. When variants are compared, rarity should be kept separate from edition and wear because each describes a different part of the item.

Characteristics

The Styx treatment works with that character instead of burying the item's form beneath decoration.

On the FAMAS, the Styx treatment uses the Anodized Multicolored method, shaping the way the image meets its material and geometry. The degree of wear changes how the design reads without replacing its motif or application method.

Recognition

FAMAS | Styx is easy to recognize through the pairing of a familiar silhouette with a distinct surface treatment. Its identity does not depend on inspecting tiny details.

The expression of Styx on the FAMAS belongs to the whole composition, whose elements reinforce one another. Condition adds another visible distinction: cleaner examples preserve more of the original detail, while abrasion gives the same design a rougher, quieter character.

Availability

The FAMAS | Styx family includes standard edition and Souvenir. Wear variants of the FAMAS include Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred, each with its own degree of finish preservation.

No dedicated container is listed for Styx. Its available editions and conditions are still treated separately. The listed editions remain distinct variants even when they share the same wear condition.

Origin

It belongs to these collections: The Cache Collection.

Versions

The regular version is issued without a kill counter; the souvenir version belongs to its corresponding tournament event.

Edition establishes the kind of variant, while condition describes its surface. Both are needed for an accurate comparison. Each variant is built on the FAMAS | Styx artwork; edition and surface preservation remain qualities of the individual item.
